Lexington Kids Day ~ Lexington Airport 8-12-11

The City of Lexington sponsored a kids Day where children could come and climb on dump trucks, fire engines, farm equipment, boats, planes etc.  As you can see by their faces they loved climbing in the various vehicles.

Davis did not want to get down and let Jackson have a turn.

Sissy had to move over and make room for brother, but she didn’t seem to mind.

Davis just naturally grabbed the two handles in the cockpit when he got in.

This was a nice pleasure boat.

Visiting the Barber – August 2011

I went with Amber and Abby to help with the boy’s haircuts.  They actually did pretty good.  Jackson (top picture) was occupied with the donkey that you can partially see.  The donkey sang a cute song with motions.  Davis (bottom picture) was watching the “Singing Fish” on the wall that you can see in the background of Jackson’s picture.  Speaking of singing fish, I got one just like that at my TLC group Christmas Party’s white-elephant gift exchange last year.  I saved it and I’m going to wrap it up for this year.

Fun And Zany Things with Emily

It never ceases to amaze me of the fun and laughter Emily and I have when we get together.

Emily and Zachary completed their Summer Reading Program at the library and received a certificate and a new book.  Good Job!!!

July-San Antonio 070

Emily wanted me to take a picture of her hand bejeweled.  Ooo la la!!

July-San Antonio 071

Emily and I bought this U.S. Presidents book in the dollar section at Target and was able to go up to the 30th President while I was there and we continue to work on it now over the phone. It has interesting activities to do and is very informative.  A Great bargain!

Because Emily was traveling to different countries this Summer and learning about each one we decided to make our own passports and have a page for each place with stamps and stickers that corresponded to the various countries.  The top one is Emily’s and the bottom one is mine.

What can I say, I turned around and there she was “Lo and behold!!!”

While I was at Michelle’s I wanted to make more of these tote’s because she had the pattern for them.  Emily picked out the material for the one on the right which I love, and we got the shark material for Zach, Davis, Jackson, Daniel, Calvin and Evan.  I made 9 altogether. The other two had cupcakes on them for Abby and her friend Abigail.

We made necklaces an two bracelets with some beads Emily had.

This was always Emily’s choice of treats when she would go to the Local Coffeehouse.  Love that face!

Zilker Botanical Garden ~ July 26, 2011

The garden wasn’t in full bloom and I would suppose that’s because of the intense heat they were experiencing in San Antonio.  The day we went it was very hot so we did not spend a lot of time there.  These are a few of the pictures I was able to take.

One Cute Kid

I was very excited about getting to spend time with Zachary on this trip.  I had not seen him since he was 6 months old so it was like getting to know him all over again.  What a sweet and loving little boy.  I had so much fun with him.  Emily and Zack and I would run and play and do all sorts of things together,  Let me tell you he can keep up.
