Got to use that Zoo membership when you can and when it’s not too hot. Our summer has been very mild with a lot of rain. I love it! So we’ve had lots of opportunity to enjoy the zoo.
When we were there the last time Mother Giraffe was pregnant and now her baby is there next to her.
While watching the elephants one of them all of a sudden took off running at another one with their ears flapping and making the loudest noise. Whoa!
They had to climb on every statue in the park.
This helicopter is in the elephant exhibit to teach children how they are used for watching over and protecting the elephants.
More statues.
Getting a better view with Dad’s help.
Here we go again!
Davis couldn’t stay on this one’s back . . . next best thing, stand next to it.
Two 1 month old gorillas from different mothers. They were so cute when they were wrestling.
This baby gorilla saw a little boy watching him with his hands on the glass and he walked over and put his hands right over where the little boys hands were and kept them there. So neat to see that.
Lunch time!
They have a great dinosaur exhibit there that you have to pay extra for but it’s worth it.
This is the only one you can climb on or touch.
When it came to the rest of them the kids kept their distance because they moved and made noises. Notice the nest of eggs and babies by the stump. The babies made noises also.
One of the kids was worried that this one would eat Amber.
So they all stood back. But Davis said, “Not eat you, no dinosaur, DUCK!”
Davis digging for dinosaur bones.
Happy digging!!!
