Emily/Abby’s Campfire Birthday Party

Amber decided to have a Campfire Party for the girls because they loved to sit on the grass around a pile of sticks and sing silly camp fire songs with us.

 

We had roasted hotdogs, chips,  sodas,  Smores and a campfire cake.

Davis and Jackson loved the fire.

Amber planned a scavenger hunt with clues for the kids to find their favors to put in their bags.

Ah!  The campfire cake with the little campfire and logs on top.  Also a #4 for Abby and a #9 for Emily.   That cake was amazingly delicious.

They all discovered the peanut butter cups and plop there they went into their mouths.  I think Zachary might have two in his mouth.

Davis is going to help himself with his fork.  Isn’t this how you eat it mom?   Jackson is reaching in . . .

and there it goes in, it fits perfectly.

Now that’s how I like it.

Davidson Co. Fair ~ Lexington NC

Davis and Jackson had to sit out the first ride because they were not big enough to go on it.  They were not too happy about that.

This is the ride, and it whirls you around pretty fast.

They ALL wanted to go on the train ride . . .

and the boat ride.

Mini corn dogs and fries.

We can never skip the carousel.   That would be asking for BIG trouble.

I believe this was a helicopter.

Emily and Abby had a lot of fun going on the rides together.

After the rides we bought funnel cakes because Emily had never had one before. (un huh, sure)

Davidson Co. Fair we love you!  We’ll come back next year.

North Carolina Sunset ~ Sept. 20, 2012

Emily and I noticed the sun setting one evening with such beautiful display that it almost looked like the Northern Lights (aurora borealis).  Amazing!

Windows / Plumbing /Electrical / Heating / Sewer

My house came to a stand still 5 weeks ago when the two contractors the company hired quit.  They are in the process of hiring a new contractor which I met with last week.  Hopefully things will began to move along quickly.  This new contractor is local instead of from Raleigh which is two hours away.

The Keath’s New House

They are in their house!  There’s still a little more landscaping to be done around the front steps and retaining wall.  I love to walk on their driveway to see and hear the brook babbling off to the left.  It’s very picturesque with all the Fall-colored trees.

The backyard landscaping, and the deck and paver-patio are finally all finished.
